Description

The Torq Mini Long 8ft surfboard in the classic White & Pinline colour for 2018.

The Mini Long would make the perfect first 'proper' surfboard after mastering the basics on a foamy or a moulded board in the surf-school. Far from being purely a learners board, the Mini Long is the ideal craft to fine tune your surfing and a good option for the longboarder looking for a more manoeuvrable craft. This tried and tested mini mal shape has been fine tuned over the years by board shapers who surf, so competent surfers can still have a blast in smaller weaker conditions. The full nose allows the board to plane and catch waves early and the soft, forgiving rails up front and sharp at the back are forgiving but with enough bite to hold in steeper waves.

Torq Surfboards are constructed using the most up-to-date Epoxy Technology, using the latest EPS Epoxy Materials. The lightweight EPS Core is combined with Biaxial fibreglass cloth, Epoxy resin and Torq's unique Shield Skin.

This unique combination of advanced materials and high-tech construction produces a board that performs at the very highest level, offering lightweight shapes with a responsive flex (missing on some cheaper Epoxy boards) but also makes for a really durable and strong surfboard. Hi all! After coming back from a Sunday session at west wittering using my new torque 9 foot board , I've got nothing more thank big smile.Last week I rung up to get a new 9 foot foamie ,the guy at boardshop actually advised me if I had the money to buy a proper board as I will be easier in time.At first I was a bit reluctant as i thought they just wanted the sale of 400 odd pounds for a proper board rather than paying for a cheap foamie.After using my board yesterday I was able to produce the surfing yet, that was my best purchase since surfing and now I'm just craving the weekend comes asap so I can get back on it .Thank you all boardshop

Delivered free, looks great and the sex wax smells like holidays. Just had it out in the bay for half an hour before the chop set in but enough time to realise I'd made the right choice. I've been trying to learn on a 7' mal for the last year and it's a slow process. Straight up on this 9 footer and it's size and stability lets you pop up and find your balance without falling straight off. Hugely buoyant ( I'm 10.5 stone), almost like sitting on a kayak. A bit unwieldy if your walking far with it under your arm, but light for its size and you can wrap the leash around it for a makeshift handle. cant wait till the next session .
