The Mini-Mid Length surfboard is a mash up of a traditional mid length and a board with its origins in more performance based shortboard shapes. The Mini-Mid Length is designed to harness all the positives of a bigger board, easy paddling and wave catching and lots of glide and also add in an extra dimension of performance.
Once you’ve surfed a longer board (than your shortboard) for a while you start to think I wonder what this board would surf like with a couple of inches knocked and a bit less float, no need to guess anymore the Mini-Mid Length is here. The Mini-Mid adds a dynamic element to the traditional mid range surfboard making it more fun to surf, if you’ve gone to a longer board from a shortboard this is probably what you’ve been looking for. A whole range of surfboard shapers have been working on this concept for a while and the results are excellent, everyone from Harley Ingleby to Form surfboards now have a model in this new exciting category.
