Walden Surfboards

Walden Surfboards is a surfboard company owned and run by Steve Walden. He is one of the most creative shapers to ever to shape a board, born and raised in Southern California he honed his skills in Hawaii during the 1970s, and whilst the move towards shortboard surfing gathered pace, he focused his energy on developing high performance longboards.

On returning to California in the 1980s he unveiled his super successful Magic Model, a design that would change longboard surfing forever and establish unique awareness of Steve and the Walden brand.

Steve hooked up with surfboard manufacturer Surftech to make use of their excellent surfboard construction process and has released the Magic model in a range of new constructions including Tuflite, Fusion-HD and C-Tech, this partnership has had a huge impact with more and more surfers embracing this technology. The tech gives performance, a light board and way more durability than a standard PU shape, its why this collaboration has been such a huge success. The size range of the Surftech x Walden Magic has grown rapidly now incorporating the Mini Magic through mid length boards right up to traditional longboards.
