What We Like
Warmth & Stretch
The Vissla 7 Seas Wetsuit has proven very popular with the Boardshop staff, no mean feat considering the availability of the established “big brands”. The Vissla fit is on a par with O’Neill (traditionally the best fitting brand we’ve stocked) fitting a broad spectrum of body shapes, a testament to the clever seam placement, panel layup and materials used.
Spring through to autumn
The comprehensive 7 Seas family has a wetsuit for all summer applications and temperatures, from the 2/2mm Shorty to the insulated 3/2 steamer. My particular favourite is the 2mm Long Sleeve Shorty, perfect for high-summer here in the UK and a brilliant option for southern Europe.
Vissla also offer a traditional 2mm Short Sleeve Fullsuit and the 2mm Long John, particularly popular with paddlers loving the freedom of the sleeveless design.
The 7 Seas winter series
The 7 Seas winter wetsuits selection boasts everything from the 4/3mm right up to the 5/4/3 Hooded wetsuit with a full Hollow Fibre lining in the body. There is also a comprehensive range of accessories including 3 and 5mm split toe and round toe wetsuit boots, 3mm gloves, 7mm mitts and a Hollow Fibre lined 3mm wetsuit hood.
Surfers in Cornwall may well negotiate a full winter in a 4/3mm with good quality boots, gloves and hood, but the vast majority will need 5mm to see the season out.
Why buy from Boardshop?
Years of wetsuit experience
The guys here at Boardshop have been retailing and using wetsuits for over 130 combined years! We only stock wetsuit brands that we would be comfortable wearing ourselves and pride ourselves on being able to hook our customers up with a great fitting wetsuit that’ll keep them warm and comfortable whatever they’re doing and wherever they’re doing it.
We stock a huge range of wetsuits at different price-points catering for all pockets.
Buying a wetsuit can be a traumatic experience for the new user, pulling on a rubber suit in front of a tanned, washboard stomached shop assistant is no fun for the less than perfectly formed! Buying online is easy and less stressful. Our wetsuit brands supply us with accurate and easy to follow size guides to help you make the right decision.
If you fall somewhere between sizes, it may be prudent to purchase both and return the one that fits least well. If you’d like more info on a wetsuit simply drop us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Summing up the Vissla 7 Seas
I’ve been selling wetsuits for 25 years and have seen a massive improvement in wetsuit design and construction. The Vissla 7 Seas collection has arrived on the scene with the perfect balance of premium materials, the latest construction techniques and a beautifully clean and uncluttered aesthetic. Thoroughly recommended.

The date of receipt was two days later than that notified upon dispatch but that's hardly an issue. The packaging looked "light" (the suit was wrapped in a nylon pouch) but there was no damage whatsoever so I suppose this is not an issue.
