Cord Surfboards

Cord surfboards have been building high-end, top-quality surfboards for over 50 years. David Lascelles started Cord Surfboards in Caloundra, Australia in 1965. It soon attracted an elite group of board building pioneers who were later titled “The Hot Generation”. Peter “Chops” Lascelles is a name familiar to most in the surfing world and when he came to England in the 1970s, he decided to settle in Cornwall and the Cord story took a new turn.

The innovative designs coming out of his Laminations factory inspired a whole new generation of board makers. Chops sadly passed away in 2013 and the mantle of Cord surfboards passed to his son Markie.

The Cord brand continues to go from strength to strength with a great range of surf craft for all standards and styles of surfing. Standout surfboard models in twin fin, quad fin, and thruster set ups all carry the Cord DNA, models like The Ark are true standouts.
