Looks like Rob Machado has done it again!! The Sunday appears to be a cruisy mid length set up, the size range runs form 6' 8 to 7' 3 in the new tech set up. br br The board has the wide point quite far forward and it carries a fair amount of volume right up to the nose so it paddles really well and also carries speed, remarkably stable too. There is single into a fairly deep double concave from the centre of the board and then vee through the tail so it generates plenty of lift and so speed and releases smoothly into turns. The pulled in tail is great in the pocket in the smaller sizes and when you scale up to the bigger sizes gives great hold in bigger waves.br br This Sunday model is constructed using 'Thunderbolt Red' a 100% hand layup Xeon Fibreglass Lamination which delivers a competition weight and flex. Thunderbolt Red uses a Fused Cell EPS Foam Blank which incorporates a Carbon Fibre Multi-Component Flex Control System which replaces a traditional wooden stringer which along with the Xeon Fibreglass lamination delivers a familiar flex which will remain for the extended lifespan of these durable boards. Thunderbolt Red uses a 6 + 4oz fibreglass deck lamination with 6 + 2oz on the bottom. The Fused Cell EPS Foam Blank is wrapped in a Core Shield PVC Shell which affords flexible protection to the EPS core.br br Forget the lifeless and corky EPS boards you might of heard about or even owned; these boards couldn't be further from the mass produced characterless Epoxy surfboards 'banged out' in the far east.
