Description

The Torq Longboard surfboard 9ft looks every bit the classic summer cruiser in this brand new Classic Lines spray.

The Torq Long is a great next-step into the wonderful world of longboarding after you've nailed the basics on a foamy in the surf school. Far from being purely a learners board, the 9ft Long is the ideal craft to fine tune your surfing and a good option for the longboarder on a budget who wants a board with real durability that won't limit progress. This classic shape offers easy wave catching with a nice stable platform that is still loose enough to really chuck around should the mood take you.

This tried and tested longboard template has been fine tuned over the years by board shapers who surf, so competent longboarders can still have a blast without splashing out £700 + on a custom made craft. The full nose allows the board to plane and catch waves early and the forgiving rails up front and sharp at the back are allow smooth directional changes with enough bite to hold in steeper waves.

Torq Surfboards are constructed using the most up-to-date Epoxy Technology, using the latest EPS Epoxy Materials. The lightweight EPS Core is combined with Biaxial fibreglass cloth, Epoxy resin and Torq's unique Shield Skin. Constructed in the most advanced mould on the planet, creating the most perfect production every time.

This unique combination of advanced materials and high-tech construction produces a board that performs at the very highest level, offering lightweight shapes with a responsive flex (missing on some cheaper Epoxy boards) but also makes for a really durable and strong surfboard. Your new Torq surfboard will keep you stoked from your first wave to your last. Enjoy!

Boardshop is proud to be a key retailer for Torq surfboards; the staff here have surfed pretty much every board in the quiver and we speak to surfers from all over the world and get their feedback on how the boards perform in all sorts of conditions so we're well placed to talk about all aspects of Torq.

Boardshop runs a very efficient trade in program, a painless way for you to offset your old or unwanted surfboard against a brand new stick. If you have any questions about this or anything else surfing related drop us an email to info@boardshop.co.uk or ring on 0044 (0) 1243 674250 we love to talk surfing!

....this board made me much better than I was before – I can’t wait to jump on it again.
I exchanged a number of e-mails with the team at the Boardshop to help me to identify the best board for me to buy - the basis of which was ; – I’m 105kg , love surfing but am new to it, and sometimes struggle to catch the waves that those around me are riding with apparent ease. Ian suggested the Torq 9ft longboard - which made sense to me – I brought the board, headed off to Devon and paddled out through the surf …. The first wave came along - I paddled with my fingers crossed – and got straight up and on it – and enjoyed the best wave in my fairly limited surfing career. The next 7 days on the Torq were brilliant – pretty much up and on every wave – nicely balanced and confident to manoeuvre.
I’m not the world greatest surfer – but this board made me much better than I was before – I can’t wait to jump on it again....Great service as usual from the Boardshop
