Description

The Torq Mod Fun surfboard will work in a multitude of different conditions and will suit surfers of all levels in virtually every condition. From waist high slop to clean overhead and hollow. The versatility of the Mod Fun makes them the perfect 'Swiss army' surfboard, if you need one board to handle all the conditions where you live and travel.

Featuring a medium full nose and shallow mid-entry there is plenty of volume for smaller days and weaker waves. As the surf picks up, step back, get your foot on the gas and the board takes on a whole new persona. You’ll find a board that feels shorter than it’s length, delivering predictable handling and performance. The Mod Fun comes with a traditional Futures Tri-fin set-up.

Torq surfboards are constructed using the most up-to-date Epoxy Technology, using the latest EPS Epoxy Materials. The lightweight EPS Core is combined with Biaxial fibreglass cloth, Epoxy resin and Torq's unique Shield Skin. Constructed in the most advanced mould on the planet, creating the most perfect production every time.

This unique combination of advanced materials and high-tech construction produces a board that performs at the very highest level, offering lightweight shapes with a responsive flex (missing on some cheaper Epoxy boards) but also makes for a really durable and strong surfboard. An awesome 'fun' board!
Excuse the pun in the summary but it really is a fun board to ride! This is my first surfboard and I am super stoked with it! Having had several beginner lessons on foamies I wanted to try the next level up in terms of boards. I spoke to Matt who took a detailed description from me of my experience surfing, other board sports, fitness level and amount of time I intend to surf and he came up with the Torq Mod Fun 7'2" as the board for me. I have to say it was a spot on call! It has so much more performance than a foamie and learning to turn was so much easier on this. It felt awesome when I caught a couple of small (guessing 1.5-2ft) green waves that had a bit of drive to them. It was the best feeling! I cannot wait to get out on this board again! I highly recommend this board for anyone looking for that progression but would also highly recommend calling the shop for their personalised advice first. Thanks Boardshop!

Amazing customer service and a perfect first board
This board was the perfect next step for me to develop my surfing. I have surfed a few times on foamies and was able to consistently stand up and ride a wave to shore. Delivery and packaging from Boardshop was first rate. Delivered next day as stated, two boards both in perfect condition.
The Torq 7'6 Funboard has been out on one trip so far. Good buoyancy, I am 70kg, and nicely balanced. It is at the limits of my ability but gives me space to grow into it. It feels like a strong construction and the good quality bag that came with the package will help to keep it protected.
All in all a highly recommended shop and board. Buy with confidence.
