This Softop version of Donald Takayama’s favourite board is constructed with a thermal-formed EVA deck which offers great traction and is kinder on your knees and ribs when paddling. This construction is a great option for the beginner or improving surfer who wants to progress but is not quite ready for a hard deck board. Performance is not affected by the soft deck and the board surfs just as well as the Tuflite version. The Softop Custom Performance boards are number 1 for surf-school and rentals and have been a consumer favourite for more than 20 years. Essentially what you're getting is a high-end epoxy surfboard topped with the durable EVA deck which will also extend the lifespan of the board protecting it from dings to the nose, tail and rails.

The board comes with 2 x Futures side bite plugs and a regular longboard centre fin box so you ride it as a single fin or 2+1 when you need a little more stability and control.
