The Pyzel Score Lord is the new mid length from Jon Pyzel and its a cracker. Its available in sizes from 5' 6 to 8' 6 but we like it best in the traditional mid length size range from 6' 6 to 7' 6.

The Score Lord is designed to get you more waves without compormising its surfing ability. The design packs in volume without losing responsiveness. The outline is really clean with the wide point failry forward and a full nose that is just slightly wider than the tail. The back half of the Score Lord is sleek but not too narrow and ends in a round pin tail that keeps it feeling smooth and loose. The thickness is pushed forward to keep lots of foam under your chest to ensure good paddle skills.

Sizing for the Score Lord is pretty varied and relative to surfing ability. Better surfers will be able to ride it smaller, more around their own height or choose to cruise on a bit longer version for the fun of it. Intermediate surfers will want to ride it a bit longer than their height or even add an extra 6 or more inches above that to maximize their paddle power, stability and glide.

The Score Lord's rocker is set up to help you paddle fast and easy, while still allowing for snappy turns and smooth cutbacks. A lower nose rocker blends to a fairly significant long and continuous tail rocker. This lets the board glide easily and carry speed on weaker, flatter waves, but still fit into the pocket in curvy sections and bowls. The drawn out tail rocker won’t slow you down, but will let you roll it into a turn easily at any speed. The Score Lord's concave features gentle vee from nose to tail, with added double concave through the back two thirds of the board to keep it lively and allow the board to get up on top of the water easily. This allows the longer Score Lord's to move quickly from rail-to-rail, making it easy to pump and change direction without resistance.

The Score Lord has a 5 fin set up so you have the choice to surf it how you want, we like it as quad for all round surfing and a Twin plus trailer in smaller wekaer waves, try a few different set ups and see what you prefer.
