Description

Unleash Speed, Manoeuvrability, and Maximum Wave Count. Grab yourself a Maurice Cole Red Dingo.

A silky smooth board that flows rail to rail and through turns. The Red Dingo is a Game-Changing Hybrid Design Born from Maurice's Surfing Journey. Experience the perfect balance of performance and versatility with the Maurice Cole Red Dingo. This exceptional mid-length hybrid surfboard is designed to offer unmatched speed, impressive manoeuvrability, and an incredible wave count.

The Maurice Cole Red Dingo is meticulously crafted to deliver an exhilarating surfing experience. Whether you're carving up the face of a wave or manoeuvring through critical sections, this board's dynamic design ensures exceptional speed and agility. Its mid-length shape strikes the ideal balance between stability and responsiveness, allowing you to effortlessly navigate various wave conditions and giving us a board that will suit a huge range of surfer.

Another string to the bow of the Red Dingo is having a 5 fin box set up. Using this board with an upright quad set gives extra drive and speed in weaker surf. When the waves turn on, set this up as a thruster and you get more control and performance.

What you won't be able to gauge from images is how Maurice Cole's boards feature a Reverse Vee on the underside with the hard, crisp rails from tail to nose. This rail profile provides significant drive and speed. Over the last three years, Maurice has tucked this rail edge a copious amount to 'hide' the edge in powerful turns to allow the surfboard to break free like a more traditional, softer shortboard rail. Similar to its original counterpart, the new Maurice Cole Reverse Vee defies conventional design by flipping it on its head. While most boards feature concave up front and Vee at the back, the Reverse Vees sport Vee beneath the chest. This unique configuration enhances immediate rail engagement upon dropping in and enables more aggressive rail turns. Experience the innovative performance of this and you will not look back!

This project is hugely exciting for all involved. Having the legendary Maurice Cole Surfboards available at Boardshop is an honour. These premium level surfboards have a world class finish, and the range includes shortboards, hybrids and mid-lengths available today.

Great Board!
I have surfed for decades, always on short boards. I'm over 50 now, and things are slowing a bit. I wanted a board that I could surf like I surf on a short board, but in smaller weaker waves (summer waves). I had some difficulties with a custom order (not Boardshop's fault), so Ian recommended I try the RV Red Dingo, stating it would allow me to surf on smaller weaker waves, and surf like I'm able surf in more decent waves. Well it was a great recommendation. I have used this board in waves, where I probably wouldn't have bothered on my short board and it flew. It catches waves like a long board, but is loose and very manoeuvrable and although it is clearly not a short board, I can ride it like one. My waves count was also over double, because I caught waves, easily and took waves that I would have let pass if I was on my short board. I suspect that this board will also fly in good waves, I still have my short boards when the waves are bigger / punchier, however I'm sure it will experience some good waves this winter! I wanted a board which would allow me to do all I do on good waves, but in smaller weaker conditions and this was it. I bought the 6'8". It was immaculate and is a great looking board. I happened to have a set of Jordy's large Future fins, which seem to work really well. Maurice Cole said in his review, that you never see any second hand Red Dingo's, have a surf on one and see how gorgeous it looks and you'll see why. Thanks Boardshop, great recommendation and great service.
