You've seen the footage of Slater riding a pin tail board on the Goldie, well this is the board! The Firewire Spaceship is in the racks and ready to rip. Mike Woo and Slater have created a board that delivers great hold in good open face waves, big on rail turns and tube riding. 

Unlike their last colab, the Great White Twin the Spaceship is a more conventional looking board. The Firewire x Woo Spaceship in the all new Proflex tech is fundamentally a good wave board for good surfers for waves from shoulder high to as big as you want to go. It will work as a step up to on those bigger days when you need extra paddle speed.

The set up is single to double concave with a low to medium performance rail. The rocker is medium through the nose and tail with a flat section through the middle which really helps in generating speed. The Spaceship flies...its fast, gets on a rail easily and carries speed really well. The relatively straight rail line and pulled down rails is what gives you that hold in critical waves. If you want a board to compliment your daily driver for travel or at home the Spaceship won't disappoint.

The board is set up as a 5 fin, Slater rides it as both depending on conditions. At the lower end of the scale a thruster set up will give perfromance turning and if threading barrels the quad gives you the speed and hold you need.

Proflex is Firewires all new construction for 2026 it features a 1.5lbs EPS core with their 3mm proprietary deck skin on the deck, an engineered carbon Technorra diamond pattern central control cage underneath the deck skin. The lamination schedule is S-glass on the deck for superior strength and performance, with carbon on the bottom and lapped over the rails for increased strength and durability. This results in the liveliest toughest Firewire construction to date. Reduced weight, and controlled flex for better drive and instant response.

Firewire surfboards are more durable than other surfboard manufacturing processes; Firewire is pushing the limits of applying new technology and innovation to surfboard design and always has an eye on the environmental impact of what they do, they truly are different to the other board companies out there. Firewire have come a long way since the early boards and the range of shapes and tech just gets better and better.
