Initially these short sleeve polyester shirts were worn to stop that annoying surfing rash. Rash guards are now quick drying, lightweight and come with flat lock stitched to provide excellent warmth and comfort properties.

These used to be seen as an under garment that did not really need to be fashionable or cool.
