The Love Machine FM model from Ryan Lovelace is a total nutter of a surfboard! The FM is the board that will maximise fun in slow waves whilst giving you outstanding fast rail to rail surfing in the better stuff. This board is packed with glide and features which frankly make the mind boggle, but as soon as you ride the thing you totally get it- everything falls into place.

The 6 6 features a curved channel bottom and is the most aggressive midlength in the Love Machine quiver, it has a softened squash tail in contrast to its larger counterparts making it extremely quick down the line while the combination of bottom shape and fins keeps it rolling effortlessly onto rail and accelerates when pushed on. The FM is known for its smoothness and ability to hold powerful arcs, at 6' 6 this version will fit in your quiver as a performance shortboarder's midlength, or mini mid length as you might categorise this board. The FM sits in the mini mid length; category but offers so much more than most mids out there. Sizing is easyish, as with all mid lengths think about the waves you're going to be surfing in and what you want the board to do for you: if you glide go bigger, if you want performance go smaller.

The board has a twin plus front nubster set up, twinny speed but with control. 6 oz bottom & 6+4 oz deck glassing means the board is tough too. The rails are pinched through the centre of the board, turned up in the nose, hard into the tail, and well foiled all the way, a responsive feel is guaranteed. The rocker is moderate with generous lift out of the tail. The base has a deep channel through the fins which offers a point of release making the board feel light and responsive. Such a fun board to surf.
