Description

The Lost RNF ’96 Kingfish takes the iconic RNF '96 and stretches it into the mid-length board you didn’t know you needed — perfect for UK surfers who want more paddle power, glide, and control without sacrificing fun.

Built for those who might not surf every day anymore (because, life), this board features a low entry rocker to make paddling out in messy conditions a breeze, and a flat deck with soft rails for extra stability. The balanced outline, modest nose width, and shallow swallow tail keep it nimble and responsive underfoot, with real turning potential instead of feeling “too fishy.”

Its 2+1 fin setup offers versatility for UK waves — from mellow thigh-high mush to cleaner overhead sets. The refined double concave and deep vee combo let the board maintain speed through turns while staying forgiving.

Designed to be ridden about 6 inches longer than your standard RNF '96, it’s flexible enough for shorter or longer sizing depending on your preferences. You’ve grown up. Has your board evolved with you? The Kingfish is your next step.

Good service and advice
Brilliant service, I emailed in wanting a board to step up my surfing, coming from a long board I was wanting something to help me progress my skills and the team directed me to the 7”4 kingfish. I am testing it out for the first time this weekend and am excited to learn more on the waves

RNF 96 6”0
Scored a 6”0 / 38L from the Wednesday email, arrived in good order and tested it this morning in solid 6-8ft Les Landes breaks. I was a tad worried it had too much volume for these waves and while walking to the beach I nearly turned around to swap it for my 6”3 Round Up…..

….but so glad I didn’t!!! This thing paddles like a madman, duck dives ok for 38L and goes like a fighter jet. It had no problem with the steep drops and it is just so playful and fast. I have a 2+1 twin fin set and I’m never going to change that on this board.

I had such great fun on this board and also catched a few 2-3 foot foam rollers on my way to the beach and it surfed them nearly as easy as a groveller. Ideal wave range probably 4-6 ft, but it can handle 2-8 ft. Weapon of choice for now!
