Description

The Lib tech X Lost Puddle Jumper FC surfboard with a Futures fin set up in the all new ecoIMPACTO 2 Lite construction with the equally new Hammer box fin boxes.

As surfers we've all dreamed about owning a high performance surfboard with all the positive attributes of a traditional PU board but with none of the inherent fragility that comes with this construction.

Lib Tech are about to change everything you know about surfboards and everything you thought was possible in surfboard construction.

Using 31 brand-new components to the surf industry and calling on 30 years of experience constructing environmentally friendly surfboards, skateboards and snowboards, it was inevitable that Lib Tech were going to produce some remarkable surfboards using this ground breaking, environmentally friendly manufacturing process. Each of the Lib Tech surfboards is handcrafted in the USA with an unwavering focus on building THE toughest high performance surfboards in the world with a commitment to operating in an environmentally responsible manner.

The construction process uses a Nitrogen cell Foam (25-40% recycled content) core for maximum strength and pop. The foam is closed cell, completely waterproof and won't absorb water.
Hexzylon Fibre Foam Skin, this is a smooth, strong, impact and ding resistant layer with the signature Hex pattern.
Next comes the unique Woven Basalt Fibre which is additive free super strong and resists heel dents.
The Bio-Matrix Resin is super strong and environmentally friendly with the best flex qualities of traditional PU and a longer lifespan than Epoxy.

Lib Tech surfboards are fitted with Hammer boxes, the lightest and toughest fin boxes on the market. Even the leash plug has been given the same attention with 6061 T6 Aircraft aluminium pins and lightweight fibre composite cups.

"Since I first saw Lib Tech’s ECO ISO construction, I wanted to build a board with it. The strength to weight ratio, eco minded materials and techniques, and the fact that this tech was being built in the USA was incredibly interesting to me. I am stoked that the time has finally come and hope people enjoy riding them as we have enjoyed building them." – Matt Biolos

The Lost Puddle jumper surfboard by Matt Biolos. The latest addition to the Domesticated Series. Based on the basic outline of the Bottom Feeder, but with reversed bottom and rocker curves. The Puddle Jumper unlike the previous Domestic boards like the RV and Bottom Feeder, features a concave bottom that transitions into Vee out through the tail. The wide template makes wave catching simple and maintain down the line glide and stability. The introduction of the concave increases lift and along with the pronounced rail curve lends itself to top-to-bottom, rail-to-rail surfing. The relatively straight rail line and Vee in the tail keep the board moving forward and able to hold in when executing hard carving manoeuvres. " This is the best small wave board I have ever ridden. I have never made a claim like that about any board before" Matt Biolos.

Brilliant all-rounder for the older surfer!
After 40 years spent surfing, including a couple running surf shops, I can say I was hugely impressed by Boardshop. They know their stuff, have a huge inventory and all the staff are friendly and helpful. Straight to my UK no 1!
The board is as good as they promised; I was a little concerned that with 44l of volume I wouldn't be able to duck dive it, but on its first outing in 6-8 ft waves with a 48knot onshore, I thankfully realised I can. For frame of reference I'm 80kg at the moment (winter plumage). The next day it proved its worth in 2-3ft mush, giving me a far higher wave-count than either of my kids!

Amazing board and service
Bought the puddle jumper after a conversation with the experts at Boardshop. A very wise choice as after surfing the board for the first time I was impressed by how this board paddled and surfed. Set it up with 3 fins and the board turned so well. Excellent board and service from Boardshop would recommend.

Great Board
This is probably one of the best boards I ever had, easy paddling, smooth, very responsive and a lot of speed. It works really well in mushy, small and even when you get bigger and better waves.
I'm 1.86 meters and 80kg and the 5'9 is great for me, I use it more in small and weaker waves.
Boardshop also provided a great service and delivery.

Epic Board!
This board is a wave catching machine!
After being out of the water for a very long time and not being as young or flexible as I once was, I wanted a board that would be easy to paddle yet still be manoeuvrable.
After a few emails with Ian it was decided that the LibTech PuddleJumper in 5’9 would tick all the boxes and I’m very pleased with it.
I’ve taken it out in all conditions and so far it has performed well in waves ranging from chest high and clean down to ankle beater slop. I was actually catching waves easier than some of the paddle boarders!
Not taken it out in anything bigger yet but I’m confident it will handle it well.
Overall this board and the guys at Boardshop are awesome.

Lib Tech Puddle Jumper Review
Bought a 5'7 last year. Best board I've ever had, paddles well, turns on a dime, I've been able to go vert on my backhand on shoulder high sloppy faced waves. Ridden it a few feet over head in pitching beach break barrels and head high point breaks. Very tough construction too! I landed on it with my knee jumping off Tetrapods and it only put a slight bruise in the deck. I have the peace of mind knowing that if I take off late in the lip and go over the falls the boards gonna be fine. Get one under your feet! The boys at boardshop are great for advice regarding sizing, fin selection etc.

Lib-Tech Game Changer
Took a while to get my hands on this board as they only found their way to the UK shores in early April but well worth the wait! Mine is a 5.9ft 37.5ltrs which is ideal for intermediate surfer who like me who wants to catch a lot of waves ! Thanks to Boardshop/Hardcloud for sorting it for me. Stoked!

The Lib Puddle Jumper is Amazing..
I own the 5'3'' that is great for my weight and level. I was looking for a small wave but without the bulky feeling that comes with a lot of groveler/fish designs and feel lucky to get one of these. This board is amazing, overcomes flat/slow sections and flies on steeper sections too, very directional and somehow very user-friendly. Surprised at first, totally stoked after a few months.. *(amazing construction: durable and smooth on the water even in windy/choppy conditions) Highly recommended
