Form Flow Stik Surfboard - Custom

I had this board shipped to France and it arrived in just five working days, perfectly packaged. Big thanks to BoardShop for their professionalism and smooth order handling.

I ordered the 7’ model to get a bit more volume for surfing in the Mediterranean, where waves are often soft and choppy. The board works great — it paddles really well thanks to its generous outline and the extra thickness under the chest. That’s exactly what I needed to catch waves early.

Once you're on your feet, it’s surprisingly responsive. I’ve only ridden it as a quad so far, and it felt fast, probably thanks to the concave-to-double-concave bottom. The option to switch between thruster and quad setups is a real plus.

The shape is excellent and easily holds its own against the big American brands. The board’s finish is also top-notch — no glassing issues at all. Time will tell, but so far I’m really impressed.

Je me suis fait expédier cette planche en France et elle est arrivée en 5 jours ouvrés parfaitement emballée ! Je tiens donc à féliciter BoardShop pour leur sérieux en ce qui concerne la gestion des commandes.

Concernant la planche, je l'ai commandé en 7' pour avoir un peu de volume afin de la surfer en Méditerranée, là ou les vagues sont souvent molles avec un plan d'eau agité ! Elle fonctionne parfaitement bien.

Elle à une très bonne faculté de rame grâce à son outline généreux et son épaisseur sous la poitrine. Je l'ai d'ailleurs commandée pour ça : elle permet de partir tôt. Une fois debout elle se montre extrêmement maniable !!

Je ne l'ai surfé qu'en quad et elle s'est montré assez rapide probablement aidé par son bottom shape ( concave -> double concave ) . Le fait de pouvoir la configurer en thruster ou en quad est vraiment un gros atout pour cette planche ! Le shape est vraiment réussi et n'a rien à envier au grand nom américain. Pour finir la planche est très bien finie , aucun problème de glaçage, on verra à l'usage !

Needed advice moving from Softech to first PU board. Charlie was excellent providing all the advice I needed to opt for a Flow Stik. Went for stock dimensions 6'8" with a custom design and I couldn't be happier. I haven't ridden it yet but I can't wait. Boardshop have been absolute stars from start to finish, highly recommend.

I when to see the boys at Boardshop after getting back into surfing and seriously humbled by the 6’0” egg I had shaped some 9 years ago. Nothing wrong with the board, an absolute beauty, a lot wrong with the surfer. Ian suggested the Flowstick and a few other things but, after a honest chat and some great advice, the Flowstick came on top as the most sensible choice. I’ve only surfed it four times thus far: three sessions at the beach from clean-ish 5 feet to very sloppy 2-3 feet and once at The Wave Bristol on the intermediate wave. Every single time the board rocked, being as easy, intuitive and forgiving to surf as promised. In the case of the super floaty 7’6” this seems (IMO) particularly true when popping up as the sweet spot is massive and responsive all over. You can pump it a little, but there is no need art just carving and positioning will make the board pick up speed no problem. Response, for a board this size, it’s impressive, as it’s feedback. At the wave I managed to float over the section with ease, twice (!!) which is impressive if you think about about the board’s size, the fact I haven’t surfed for years and that I’m not the youngest or fittest anymore. It was the board that made it possible. In mushy waves it’s a bit of a handful to manage when paddling out as, let’s face it, it’s a pretty big boards. That said, size it’s no hindrance once up and surfing.
Tried it both as a thruster and quad and I prefer it a little more as a thruster but fin selection can be pretty personal. In any case, the board was provided with a full set of fins so I can keep experimenting.
Ian and the boys were great. Super approachable and to the point. You can really feel they want you to go home happy and have fun surfing.
If I were to buy again I would go down in size a little bit not without asking Ian for advice first.

In love with this mid length, there's nothing I can really add to all the positive reviews. It's really is as good as everyone makes it out to be.

I've only been surfing for nearly a year on my foamie and felt the itch to step onto a proper board. After researching online I decided the Flow Stik ticked all the boxes. Charlie was a great help confirming my choice and advising on size. I've waited until trying it out before leaving the review, and now with aching arms after being out 4 days in a row I'm happy to say I love it. Paddling doesn't feel much tougher than the foamie. I certainly haven't lost any wave count and when I'm up the board feels stable and responsive, my turns are already improving. Also in the black spray it looks sick. So I recommend the board and the shop, thanks a lot. Roll on the next swell!

As always Ian was fantastic in helping me with my first grown up board. I've been surfing for a year now and bought my first foamie from Boardshop & it has been great but eager to step up to a proper board I made the leap & bought a board from the internet which I knew was probably too small. I struggled with my board until I came to see Ian last week. I took my new Flow Stik out and wow what a game changer! It's got just the right amount of volume and immediately feel like the right choice. Popped up first attempt and couldn't believe how it felt. Can't wait to get into the water again give it a good run. Thanks team Boardshop yet again coming up trumps!

Charlie was excellent at advising me on my new board and accessories. He was very patient with me umming and arring about what to go for. Decided on Form Flow Stik and the board looks excellent. Can’t wait to get out on the water!

Just got my Flow Stik 6”10, not yet been out with it. Build quality looks second to none. Beautiful looking board can’t wait to take it for a spin.

Got some advice from the staff at boardshop via emai, left me feeling confident in my purchase. Fully recommend the shop and will certainly be back when the need arises ????

I bought this board in 7ft, I am not a great surfer but after the first go on this board I knew it's what I wanted, I liked the look of the flow stik but I was unsure what size board to go for or if it would suit my beginner style of surfing but after speaking to Matt we decided on the 7ft flow stik, I surfed it the other day and can honestly say it's exactly what i was looking for, catches waves with ease, is responsive enough to allow you to manoeuvre well, but also allows room for error.

It's a fantastic board and I would say to anyone looking at this as a potential new board, it's as good as the reviews say it is. also thankyou to all the staff at Boardshop for helping me choose the perfect board.
