Slater Designs Surfboards

Kelly Slater needs no introduction to surfers, he is undoubtedly the best surfer ever to have pulled into a barrel and has been an innovative influence in every area of surfing and now with Slater Designs surfboards. Slater’s boards have been developed with Firewire surfboard technology to produce surfboards that are truly different to anything else out there.

Utilising the Firewire LFT technology, with enhanced carbon fibre strips, the boards blend performance and usability in equal measure with a huge nod to environmental awareness thrown in.

The first surfboards in the mix are the Omni and the Sci-Fi both designed with Daniel ‘Tomo’ Thompson and the Banana designed with Greg Webber. Slater has worked with surfboard shapers Tomo and Greg Webber to develop these boards and will undoubtedly collaborate with many more shapers in the coming years to develop new Slater Designs surfboards and other surf essentials, such as leashes and traction. Kelly Slater’s surfboards will cover a huge range of abilities and wave types, as the range develops they’ll be more good stuff coming, you can guarantee it. We’re slightly excited to be a premium partner of Firewire for the launch or the Slater program.
