RYD or Rydbrand as this cool surfing company is sometimes known produces a great range of surf essentials including tail pads, leashes, board bags and of course surfboards. RYD is a family business which started in Cape Town SA in 2014 with an ethos of putting the fun back into surfing.

Its an inclusive brand aimed at appealing to anyone from groms to seasoned pros, and both sexes with equal representation. The product range has all the usual blacks and greys in the colour scheme but it is the vibrant poppy colours that caught our eye, RYD are doing something with everyday products that most other brands don’t.

RYD support many surfers at all levels, from WSL Championship Tour Surfer Caio Ibelli and World Longboard Champion Stevie Sawyer to local groms, ladysliders and the up-and-coming chargers, the RYD tribe starts to feel exactly how they like it - a complete family. There is no compromise on quality with RYD products despite the exceptional value for money these surf products represent.
