Surfboard Demo Day at The Wave Bristol – Try Boards for Free

On Saturday 29th November, we’ll be at The Wave Bristol for a full-day surfboard demo, where you can try some of our favourite boards, completely free.

Whether you’re hunting for your next upgrade or just want to feel the difference between a few shapes, this is your chance to test boards from Firewire, Lib Tech, Lost and Torq in the pool.

Simply book a surf session at The Wave between 12pm and 8pm, head down to the lake, and swap boards between waves. It’s an easy, relaxed way to see what really works for your surfing.

Boardshop Trade-In, Lakeside

We’ll also be running our Surfboard Trade-In Program on the day.

If you’ve got a board you’re not surfing anymore, bring it along for a free valuation. You can trade it in against a new board on the spot, and we’ll handle everything for you, no packaging, no courier hassle. Just drop it off with us and we’ll refund the agreed value against your new board.

Ian will be there to chat through shapes, construction, and setups, helping you find something that suits your style and goals in the water (and if you’re lucky, maybe he’ll sign your board)

Charlie will be chatting boards as well… if we can drag him out of the water long enough.

What Else Is Happening

Alongside the demo boards, there’ll be plenty going on around the lake:

• Stance will be bringing the vibes with live art and free socks.
• Red Bull DJs will be providing the soundtrack throughout the day.
• Dryrobe will be there with demo gear to keep you warm and dry.

And to top it off, the first 50 surfers to book a session during the Demo Day will receive a free YETI Rambler 30oz Tumbler (worth £35), perfect for post-surf coffee or a lakeside drink.

1. Book your surf session for Saturday 29th November at The Wave Bristol.
2. Come down, check in with the Boardshop crew, and grab a demo board.
3. Surf, chat, trade, and test until you’ve found your next favourite stick.
