The R Series boards are a unique construction, blending the world of hard boards and soft boards together to produce boards that are amazing to surf, are super tough and can handle a wide range of conditions and all at a great price.

The Almond R Series surfboards are built from a high density epoxy based closed cell foam, this stuff is super tough and unlike standard foamies there are no glued seams, its one complete unit. These boards have the same fin boxes you find in high end boards and properly shaped rails. They are also 100% Recyclable. They feature a full deck grip so no wax is needed. People often worry about having a black surfboard, how it reacts to heat etc, the R Series boards are fine in the sun all day just don't leave them in locked car for hours on end when its 30 degrees!

The Pleasant Pheasant, (also known as the Plez Phez) model in this R Series tech is a take down of Almonds best seller in their main range, it carries the same DNA as the original shape which means you're going to catch heaps of waves and put a big smile on your face. The Pleasant Pheasant gives you the paddle power of a mid length but the performance and feel of a shorter board. It's a truly versatile shape that although carrying a fair bit of volume feels really lively in a wide range of conditions. As alterantive shapes go this is about as usabale as it gets.
