The new Torq Mod Fish surfboard package 7ft 2 in the classic White with Pinline colour. The 7ft 2 is the largest in the Torq Fish line-up and does a great job of bridging the gap between funboards/mini-mals and shortboards.

The performance Fish is a well established shape which benefits from a few key features; nice and buoyant, wide and stable perfect for the improving rider, and pretty flat with only a slight flip in the nose which allows it to catch waves easily and paddle fast.

Torq Surfboards are constructed using the most up-to-date Epoxy Technology, using the latest EPS Epoxy Materials. The lightweight EPS Core is combined with Biaxial fibreglass cloth, Epoxy resin and Torq's unique Shield Skin. Constructed in the most advanced mould on the planet, creating the most perfect production every time.

Really good board
The description really fits the product, it’s a fast and agile board with the perfect design for progress, even after my first session I could feel my surfing progressing loads. The wax was slightly dodgy but was probably a result of me leaving it in a warm room, leash holds really well and straps tight. Overall incredibly happy with this purchase

My first hardboard
My first hardboard and wow I’m impressed. I’m 80kg and the volume of this board is perfect for a novice like me. Lots of fun and plenty of waves caught already, starting my journey into “short boards” with some carves and cut backs. The versatilely of the fins is great and extremely helpful for someone like me trying to find the preferred set up for my local beach & style.

Great surfboard, great service.
I was nervous and overwhelmed to buy my first surfboard because there's so much choice and I had no idea what I was doing. Ian, however, was really helpful and patient and answered all my questions without hesitation. I consider myself a beginner having only surfed on foamies so was anxious at the prospect of graduating to an epoxy board. Coming down from a 9’ longboard the 7’2 fish is perfect for me. Still easy to catch waves but a huge increase in manoeuvrability and being able to duck dive and get through the set on bigger days. My first short board - Torq Mod Fish
Having always surfed longer boards eg 8ft/ 8ft6 the Torq Mod Fish is my first shorter board, I went for the 6ft10 version as I am over 6ft tall and 80kg. I was very worried about catching waves on the shorter board... would it have the float I needed etc but I should not have been worried. I took it out last weekend and had a great surf, it was so much faster/ manoeuvrable than my 8ft6, I caught plenty of waves. The board has all the durability that I expect from Torq and personally I like the design. For a low cost entry short board/ stepping up board, I cant recommend it enough. Boardshop were fast with shipping and great with customer service and advice, there recommendations are really helpful, they know there stuff. The main challenge as I see it is stock levels, boards go quick so you have to be fast.
