Description

The Lib tech X Lost Quiver Killer surfboard has finally arrived!

The Quiver Killer has been one of our best selling shortboards for a good few years. A realistic shortboard for average to good surfers with more than enough performance for 90% of the waves we encounter at home and on our travels.

The clue is in the name really; the Quiver Killer is a true one board quiver and in this Lib Tech construction could well be one of the best and most durable travel companions available.

Could surfboard construction Nirvana actually be here?

As surfers we've all dreamed about owning a high performance surfboard with all the positive attributes of a traditional PU board but with none of the inherent fragility that comes with this construction.

Lib Tech are about to change everything you know about surfboards and everything you thought was possible in surfboard construction.

Using 31 brand-new components to the surf industry and calling on 30 years of experience constructing environmentally friendly surfboards, skateboards and snowboards, it was inevitable that Lib Tech were going to produce some remarkable surfboards using this ground breaking, environmentally friendly manufacturing process. Each of the Lib Tech surfboards is handcrafted in the USA with an unwavering focus on building THE toughest high performance surfboards in the world with a commitment to operating in an environmentally responsible manner.

The construction process uses a Nitrogen cell Foam (25-40% recycled content) core for maximum strength and pop. The foam is closed cell, completely waterproof and won't absorb water.
Hexzylon Fibre Foam Skin, this is a smooth, strong, impact and ding resistant layer with the signature Hex pattern.
Next comes the unique Woven Basalt Fibre which is additive free super strong and resists heel dents.
The Bio-Matrix Resin is super strong and environmentally friendly with the best flex qualities of traditional PU and a longer lifespan than Epoxy.

Lib Tech surfboards are fitted with the lightest and toughest fin boxes on the market. They also use Sprock Blocks at the tail to add even more durability to the most fragile areas on the board. Even the leash plug has been given the same attention with 6061 T6 Aircraft aluminium pins and lightweight fibre composite cups.

"Since I first saw Lib Tech’s ECO ISO construction, I wanted to build a board with it. The strength to weight ratio, eco minded materials and techniques, and the fact that this tech was being built in the USA was incredibly interesting to me. I am stoked that the time has finally come and hope people enjoy riding them as we have enjoyed building them." – Matt Biolos

Fantastic Board
Board delivered to Ireland within 2 days! Picked up this board as as my previous board had too little volume for me. I’m 5”11 and 83kg and went with the 6”0 . Have had it out in some bigger surf over the weekend, paddles a dream. Feels quite light and responsive under the feet. Build quality is excellent , very strong and less susceptible to digs than most boards I’ve seen out there!

Great board
Board arrived to Ireland quickly, packed well, no issues. I got the 6'0 - I'm an intermediate surfer around 75kg. I've surfed the board in a good variety of waves now from 2ft mush to overhead points, it catches waves easily and feels solid in turns. Very happy overall, only thing I would say is that the board can feel a little slow at times, but that might be more to do with the waves and/or my surfing!

Affordable and easy delivery, board arrived in perfect shape
Went through plenty of reviews to make this purchase. I'm a 6'2 92Kg intermediate weekend warrior surfer. I wanted a nimbler board that could make up for my average paddling power without making duckdives a workout. I was between the Lost board and the JS Blak Box but when I saw there was a collaboration with Lib Tech making the board hard to ding... I knew what I needed. My last board (6'3 Blanks 44L) struggled with my heavy handedness and I pierced the board plenty of times with my duck dives and hard takeoff landings. I ordered the 6'2 37L boards and wow did Boardshop send it right away. Got it within 2 days in Ireland. Due to the lockdown haven't surfed it yet, but it looks great and she's ready to go.

Review of quiver killer
having first stood up on a surfboard 30 years ago and have surfed almost every shape and size of board with varying levels success ever since. I really wanted to finally master the short board once and for all now I am in my mid 40s!!! I ordered the 6,2 quiver killer and could not be happier! It paddles easily into waves and feels super responsive and positive under foot. I have surfed local south coast crumbly beach breaks Cornish barrels and head high reefs this autumn and it has exceed my expectations on all fronts. Whether or not it can truly be the holy grail of surfing ( the infamous one board quiver) or not remains to be seen but it has honestly made me fall in love with shortboarding again after a 30 year love hate relationship. I have only ridden it as a thruster but as a quad it must really fly. The boys at Boardshop could not have been more helpful, one 5 min phone call and the board was dispatched, with 0% finance I got so excited I also bought a new wetsuit, fins, grip deck and leash as well. Not really a grovellers but for days when you are not really sure what the surf is doing or for a trip abroad this is the business! Awesome

Bought for Mentawai
I’m testing this magic board at my local surf spots and so far it’s been a great deal! A lot of flow and maneuverability even with 37L. I’m using FCS 2 MF Large fins and I’m 81kg. I bet this is gonna be my magic board for those chest-overhead surfing days.

a step up libtech maybe!
Taken a while but got a few surfs under my belt using a 6 0 Libtech Quiver Killer. Board is a great paddler and this libtech version of the board has quite tapered refined rails. I'm hoping its going to be a good step up board for overhead days. Went for more volume than I normally do but in the bigger stuff I figured I wanted to be more mobile and this board paddles great and gets into the wave really well. Great service from the boys at boardshop and their trade in service made getting a new board alot less painful in the pocket than it would otherwise have been. Chuft!

All good
Not had it out yet but looks great and service was good. I hadn’t realised that the Lib tech fin box fits most fins so I could possibly have got away with not buying new ones with the board but I don’t have that many so good to have a new set. Overall, all really good so far and can’t wait to get out on it.
