Lost Surfboards EZ-Up Surfboard - White

The Lost EZ-Up surfboard by Matt Biolos. The EZ-Up came to fruition when Matt realized his one/two punch, Lazy Boy and Couch Potato summer quiver wasn't going to cut it when the winter swells arrived. So rather than surfing between swells or looking for shelter Matt decided to fine tune his trusty Lazy Toy (or Lazy Boy as it was at the time). Matt stretched his regular 6'0 to 6'2, tucked in the width a little, slightly increased the rocker and added a flip in the nose for late and steep drops. The biggest change to the shape was the complete reworking of the rear half of the board into a surface reducing, conservative rounded pintail. The result is a pleasing shape not dissimilar to a circa 1970's double ender, and with the nose to tail vee panels it sort of is, but with a more refined and aggressive rocker, rails and profile. With plenty of successful surfs in punchy winter conditions Matt has found himself regularly making custom boards based on this template, loosely tagged the Lazy Toy StepUp. Now after a couple of years of tweaking and fine tuning the board is a bona fide stock model with the fitting name EZ-Up. If you love riding your LazyToy, Couch potato but need something a little more capable in better surf this is the easy way to step up to better waves.
