Sharp Eye Surfboards

Sharpe Eye surfboards have come up with something a little bit special, the new line of Sharp Eye FUSION E2 surfboards - a huge improvement on previous dual core Epoxy - these new boards fly!

Surftech are the true pioneers of epoxy surfboard construction and alternative board constructions in general, at one time in the not too distant past they were shifting more surfboards than anyone else in the world, after dip in popularity for a few years they have now roared back into the limelight with this Fusion E2 construction. It’s as good as any other epoxy out there to surf, its light tough and the finish on these boards is immaculate. The FUSION E2 construction is composed of a stringer less EPS core with unique carbon reinforcement strips deck and bottom. The deck is 4oz glassing topped with a layer of 4oz biax to be light and strong. The bottom is glassed with a single layer of 6oz.

This construction differs from previous efforts since it’s a stringer less EPS core and has the carbon strips deck and bottom. This construction differs from Dual-Core as it is just EPS and not EPS with PU rails and TPU pop-flex stringer. The net result for us, the surfer is a tech that surfs fast, is ultra-responsive and way more durable than its PU alternative in terms of performance and life span, one of the best EPS epoxy constructions out there for sure. The hook up with Sharp Eye is brilliant for all of us, it means a range of great boards in an undeniably brilliant construction. Sharp Eye surfboards are firmly in the spotlight thanks to Filipe Toledo’s stunning surfing on the WSL tour, no other surfer gets so much out of the wave with his combination of crazy airs and power turns. Toldeo’s shaper and Sharp Eye founder Mario Zouvi, has teamed up with Surftech to deliver a range of models, inspired by the Toledo including the Modern 2, Modern 2.5, Disco and Disco Cheater. Sharp Eye Surfboards was founded in 1992 and is a high performance surfboard brand used by some of the best surfers in the world and normal surfers too! The Sharp Eye range is focused on performance in a wide range of waves and conditions. There is a big investment in research and development and feedback from team riders in conditions around the world is crucial in giving us lot surfboards ready to take on any type of wave in all conditions. It’s a rarity to get a colab like this with two companies at the top of their game, all the better for us!
