Description

The all new and improved NSP Elements Fish surfboard has been updated with a new forgiving shape and some cool new graphics. Wide and stable with a flat rocker for fast paddling and early wave catching. The perfect first shortboard if you're moving on from a Mini-Mal or fun shape. The classic Fish outline pumps extra volume under the chest making the Fish a demon wave catcher even when the surf is small and uninspiring. The flatter rocker on the updated Fish makes it an even easier surf; fast with plenty of drive down the line and the combination of bottom contours and the slight "hip" behind the front fins allows the board to pivot and encourage faster and more dynamic turns. Five fin boxes gives you the option to experiment with fin setups; stock tri-fin (supplied) for control and the quad option for a looser and more "squirty" feel.

The NSP Elements HDT Fish would also be a great option for youngsters who'll appreciate the cool looks and usability of the forgiving shape.

This amazing combination of incredible value, lightweight durability, and real performance makes the Fish one of the most versatile and popular surfboards in the NSP line-up.

These NSP surfboards are constructed with and EPS Secure Cell core which is then wrapped in lightweight fibreglass, HDT vacuum moulded and finished with a durable gel coat skin. Lightweight and tough perfect for anyone, beginner to advanced.

Really Helping progression
I’ve been surfing about a year and a half now and I had a 8ft soft top and a 7,6 mini mal up until I purchased this board, I have had about 10-15 sessions with the 7,2 so far and from what I’ve learned about it is that it’s a tonne of fun, and probably a really good choice if your trying to progress your surfing.
Before I had this board, I was struggling with staying on the wave face and basic manoeuvrability, but with this board now I’m comfortably staying on the face of the wave, successfully pumping, starting to do turns, and catching about 80% of the waves I’m paddling for.
It’s also really wide so you’ve room for mistakes on the pop up and weirdly enough it feels super light under the feet, and for me I’m a big enough guy, I’m 6,3 and 90kilos, I can duck dive it pretty comfortably, It also paddles really well too even for me.
So far the Only downside I’ve found is that it does probably need 3ft waves minimum to work, it was a struggle for me on the smaller days, on those days your better off to dust off the mini mal or foamie IMO, but when it’s anything 4ft plus it is so fast, really reactive and so much fun.
All round I think it’s one of my best buys here yet and I think I’ll keep it for another 6-10months before I attempt to take on something smaller and sharper.

Great boards to improve skills
I've purchased two NSP boards, a 7ft2 for punchier days and an 8ft6 for little waves. Delivery was as promised but beware that for some boards there are two deliveries (the board in one and the leash, bag, wax in the other) so I missed one of the deliveries and had to reschedule.
I tried both boards in Cornwall in waves from 3ft to 6ft. The smaller 7ft2 didn't work for me with waves below 4ft lacking power, but the 8ft6 worked a treat and was good fun. My 9-year son also found the 8ft6 friendlier when learning to stand up in the white water. The 7ft2 came alive in the bigger waves >4ft and is obviously more maneuverable. It is still fairly buoyant so I couldn't do duck dives (or maybe i still haven't got the hang of it or I'm too light at 62kg). But the buoyancy helps with greater stability to catch waves and have fun.
