Lost Surfboards

Lost Surfboards

Lost surfboards began in 1985 when Matt Biolos and a bunch of school friends were into snowboarding, skateboarding, and surfing in Dana Point. They were not worried about winning surf contests they were Team Lost and the distinctive logo was born. The now legendary shaper Matt Biolos began sanding surfboards in 1987 learning his trade straight from school.

At about the same time Matt made the first ever Lost Surfboard.

At Boardshop.co.uk we stock a Lost surfboard for every ability. Recommended by Matt Biolos himself, the Lost Puddle jumper is an excellent small wave board; the best he’s ridden in fact. The high performance Lost V2 Shortboard supports the average surfer or older guy in their quest to compete for waves in crowds without reaching for the hybrid. Whereas the Lost V3 Rocket, and Lost Short Round are amazingly versatile hybrids, that with the correct dimensions (see our buyers guide), are suited to surfers of any size and level.

Bringing Back the Board

Since its humble beginnings, Lost has spread slowly across the world. Lost Surfboards were integral in the movement away from the high performance potato chip surfboard. Brilliant under the feet of a professional surfer, but less than ideal for the rest of us mortals, surfboards had become too thin with too much rocker. With the creation of the Lost Round Nosed Fish Surfboard, surfers eyes were opened to the benefits of more foam equalling more waves and more fun.
