Its been a long process but we have finally landed the Almond surfboard range. We hunt high and low to find boards that will work for our customers and we're super stoked to get the Almond family on board. These boards not only look amazing, the finish is as good as we've ever seen but they surf fantastically well too. Almond surfboards is a family run business in Costa Mesa California. Everything they do is a considered decision, from the fully Recyclable R Series boards to the current range, they've designed boards for people who want to get the most out of their surfing. The Pleasant Pheasant, (also known as the Plez Phez) model is the best seller and its pretty easy to see why, it marries the paddle power of a mid length with the performance of a smaller board, we call this kind of board a mini mid length...the best of both worlds, what's not to like? The "Plez Phez" is a bit more progressive than the longer Joy model, it features a narrower, straighter outline, which provides more rail-to-rail control. The rail is nearly elliptical through the the front half of the board before is hardens up, this gives instant acceleration, the control comes from a double concave through the fins and vee through the tail. For surfer's who are more accustomed to shortboards or fishes, the "Plez Phez" is a more natural transition to a higher volume wave catcher, because of the drive it offers. This truly is a board you can surf everyday. Once surfed this is a hard board to leave in the rack whether its waist high or pumping. Please note the Almond guys don't write dims or volumes on their boards.We're over the moon to be able to bring the Almond surfboard range to surfers everywhere, we have surfed these boards and have had demos to narrow down the range and make sure these boards will work for our customers. We're taking custom orders for Almond boards too, any model they make is available not just what we have in stock right now.
