The Xcel Peaked Hood is made from 2mm Ultrastretch Bamboo neoprene with a face seal and elastic cinch cord. The hood is fitted with a 1mm inner and outer neck, one tucks into your wetsuit neck and the other overlaps on the outside to prevent neck flushes (what a brilliant idea!). Thermobarrier hood lining with glued and blindstitched seams. If you want to prolong your winter sessions, some form of headwear is essential when the water temperature takes a dive. The Peaked Hood is probably the most effective way of avoiding the dreaded ice-cream headache, normally experienced on long paddle outs and multiple duck-dives. The Peaked Hood will also protect you from cold winds which can cause painful ear problems.
