The Cortez Girls Grom 6ft 6 surfboard. This would make the perfect board for the kid looking to step up from the soft deck surf-school board and really progress with their surfing. Constructed from a durable 3 phase epoxy with a composite stringer and a proper FCS thruster fin set up. The finish is akin to any regular polyester (glass fibre) surfboard with the added benefit of durability and nice lightweight.
The key to the Grom 6ft 6's suitability is it's overall shape and buoyancy. The nice wide nose and floaty nature will make catching waves easy and the light weight makes the board manageable and easy to carry for the smaller user.
Although the Grom 6ft 6 is aimed at the kids, i reckon it would make the ideal budget board for the competant surfer looking to have a little fun in weak summer surf, or great to leave at the holiday home or caravan.
